ABOUT THE PRODUCT
EasyGuard domes are considered an upgraded, improved version of the SDS 4.0 domes. They share the same physical fit but are specifically designed with more advanced earwax and moisture protection.
Here is how EasyGuard improves on the previous generations:
- Built-in Membrane Shield: EasyGuard domes feature a sealed, sound-transmitting membrane at the opening.
- Less Maintenance: Unlike many other, traditional domes, this membrane acts as a protective barrier that blocks earwax from reaching and clogging the hearing aid's receiver and wax filter. This can significantly reduce the frequency with which you need to change your wax filters, and helps extend the life of the receiver.
- Uncompromised Sound: Phonak's acoustic testing indicates the membrane transmits sound clearly without a significant loss in audio quality or volume compared to traditional open/vented domes.
IN SUMMARY:
- Added protection against wax build-up
- Easy cleaning with just a soft, dry cloth
- Less frequent filter changes
- Reliable sound quality day after day
- Comfortable, secure fit with compatible hearing aids
Phonak advises that domes should be changed every three months or when it becomes stiff or brittle. This is to prevent the dome from detaching from the receiver sound outlet during insertion into or removal from the ear.
For optimal effectiveness, it's recommended to clean the domes every day.
